TESTS AND RESULTS

Routine test results (e.g., blood, urine) may take up to one week to be processed, except for the INR’s. These results are usually available in 24 hours.

Some results take much longer to arrive at the Surgery e.g. X Rays which can take up to four weeks.

Please allow for these timescales when requesting your results. Test results (e.g. blood, urine, x-rays) are available by telephone after 14:30 at the High Street and 11:00 at the Firs when the telephones and reception staff are less busy.

The Heathfield Surgery will not automatically contact the patient about their results, but will only be in contact when necessary.

Due to issues of confidentiality the results can only be released to the patient. If you would like to have your result released to someone else we will need your written approval to do so.
