Meet our Nurses

Sister Lynda Shopland

Lynda trained in Eastbourne. She has a special interest in Wound Care and Health Promotion.

Sister Lynda is assisted by Sister Sharon Nicholl, Sister Ffion Jones, and Sister Danielle Swift.

Health Care Assistants

Our health care assistants are Jane RowlandEsther Clark, and Jan Rudd. They can offer the following services:

  • Phlebotomy (blood tests) assisted by Ellie Twyman (phlebotomist)
  • Blood Pressure
  • ECGs
  • 24-hour blood pressure monitoring

Occasionally we train nurses. If they are attending you will be informed before you see the nurse. Obviously, if you do not wish them to be present please inform the receptionist. In the course of their training, surgeries may need to be videoed. We will ask your permission before you are involved.

Telephone Time with your Nurse

Many queries can be dealt with by leaving a message for either the doctor or nurse e.g. if you have a query about your medication. The receptionists will take a message, record it for the attention of the nurse at the end of surgery and ask you to call back later in the day for an answer.
