Community Services

Community Midwives

If you have discovered you are pregnant, you do not need a GP appointment unless you are unwell.  You can contact the midwives direct via email:mtw-tr.juniper@nhs.net or call 01435 868775.  

 

Community Nurses

We have a team of Community Nurses attached to the practice and they can be contacted at the Community Centre.

Counsellor

Fiona Calvert, MBACP (Snr. Accred) BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor is the counsellor who is attached to our practice and based in our surgery. Our practice counsellor’s appointments are available via referral from your GP and are provided free of charge.

 

Health Visitors

Our health visitors are based at the Community Centre and are available between the hours of 8.30 to 10.30 a.m. and 4.00 to 5.00 p.m. Phone number: 01435 865811.

 They offer advice related to family health and promote health education. They carry out routine developmental checks and hearing tests, implement immunisation programmes for babies and children and discuss with parents any aspect of growth, feeding, sleeping and behaviour in the young.

 

Care for the Carers

If you look after someone, we’re here to support you:  Care for the Carers is your local carers centre.  We provide free practical and emotional advice – face to face, by telephone, or online for unpaid carers throughout East Sussex.
